About Us

Sheffield ME and Fibromyalgia Group is a small registered charity providing information, support and a point of contact for people of all ages with Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/chronic fatigue syndrome (ME/CFS), fibromyalgia and long covid, their families and their carers, in South Yorkshire and North Derbyshire.

The Group also seeks to raise general awareness of ME/CFS, fibromyalgia and long covid, and to educate the general public through the promotion and dissemination of knowledge about these illnesses. They are chronic, debilitating illnesses with no known cure.

The Group is running thanks to its members, volunteers, employees and a Board of Trustees consisting mainly of people with ME, fibromyalgia and/or long covid. The Board of Trustees consists of up to ten members. We are a Registered Charity and as such produce an Annual Report and Financial Statement.

Our patrons are Berlie Doherty, local children's author, and The Very Reverend Peter Bradley.
