Get £140 off your energy bill this winter

Writer's picture: SMEFGSMEFG

You can apply for £140 off your energy bill over winter 2021-22 through the Warm Home Discount Scheme. Although the Gov.uk website states that the scheme opens on 18th October, many energy suppliers have already opened their schemes.

You are eligible for the Warm Home Discount if you are receiving the Guarantee Credit element of Pension Credit.

You may also be eligible if you are on a low income, for example if you are claiming certain means tested benefits. Each energy supplier has different criteria about who comes under this 'low income' group, so check your energy supplier to see if you are eligible.

Some energy suppliers work on a first come first served basis, so if you think you might be eligible apply as soon as possible.

If you have any difficulty applying, contact Sarah and Ellie, our welfare benefits advisors on benefits@sheffieldmegroup.co.uk.
